Venom es una banda británica pionera del Metal extremo formada en Newcastle, Inglaterra en 1979. Originalmente formada como un quinteto por los guitarristas Conrad "Cronos" Lant y Jeffrey "Mantas" Dunn, el batería Tony "Abbadon" Bray, el vocalista Clive "Jesus Christ" Archer y el bajista Alan Winston. Pero la formación más exitosa fue la de Cronos (bajista y vocalista), Mantas (guitarrista) y Abbadon (baterista).

Venom siendo uno de los precursores del black metal compartió todo el tiempo muchas de las características básicas y distintivas de este género, también lo es que, desde su primera grabación disponible (el single "In League with Satan" que incluye dos temas clásicos de la banda: "In League with Satan" y "Live Like an Angel and Die Like a Devil"), se distinguió por la contundencia de su sonido metal distintivo de las demás bandas (Más tarde lo catalogarían como metal extremo) salpicado de la crudeza y rapidez directa del punk. Otra característica inconfundible del grupo fue su continua celebración del satanismo, lo oculto y la épica de las guerras en cada una de sus líricas.

Venom es ampliamente reconocido como el grupo que dio origen al metal extremo. Además de ser el pionero del subgénero black metal a su vez, una influencia determinante en el desarrollo de otros dos subgéneros del metal extremo: thrash metal y death metal.

James Kent (París, 22 de enero), más conocido como Perturbator, es un músico francés de música electrónica.

James Kent tiene antecedentes como guitarrista en varias bandas de Black Metal​ . Desde 2012 ha producido música electrónica inspirada en la cultura Ciberpunk y con inspiración de películas como Akira, Ghost In The Shell y The Running Man.

Utiliza una amplia variedad de sintetizadores de software en sus producciones, tal como emuladores de sintetizadores vintage, como el OB-X o el CS-80.5​ A partir de su EP de debut, Night Driving Avenger, ha lanzado cuatro álbumes de larga duración, siendo el más reciente New Model con la discográfica Blood Music, y se ha presentado en diversos espectáculos en vivo. Se usaron muchas de sus pistas en el juego de 2012 Hotline Miami y en su secuela de 2015 Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number. El EP Sexualizer de Perturbator se lanzó en parte para lanzar oficialmente la canción "Miami Disco" y como manera de agradecimiento a los desarrolladores de Hotline Miami.8​ El éxito de los juegos Hotline Miami resultó en una mayor exposición a una audiencia más general.

Dark Tranquillity es una banda de Death Metal Melódico formada en 1989 en Gotemburgo, Suecia.

Poseen una extensa carrera desde 1989 hasta nuestros días, en la que han sido nominados a diversos premios, entre ellos el Grammy por su álbum Projector. Están íntimamente ligados a la historia de In Flames ya que Niklas Sundin, uno de los miembros de Dark Tranquillity, escribió las letras de dos álbumes de In Flames, Whoracle y The Jester Race. Cathedral fue una banda británica de Stoner/Doom Metal fundada en 1989 por el vocalista Lee Dorrian tras abandonar Napalm Death. También formaron la banda los guitarristas Gary Jennings y Adam Lehan y el bajista Mark Griffiths.

La banda fue fundada en 1990 por Lee Dorrian (de la banda de Grindcore Napalm Death), Mark Griff Griffiths (de la banda Carcass) y Garry Gaz Jennings de Acid Reign.
